Coat and everyday care
Maintain its short smooth coat and inspect the fine long ears after brushy walks. Include paw checks after uneven terrain.

A passionately hunting dog may follow a trail beyond easy voice contact. Secure access and a realistic understanding of baying are important.
How does it compare?
The Bruno Jura Hound is another Swiss Hound variety, with different colouring. Neither should be confused with the much heavier Bernese Mountain Dog.
