Shih Tzu breeders in Wisconsin

Finding a responsible Shih Tzu breeder in Wisconsin

An ancient Tibetan-origin companion breed refined in Chinese imperial palaces, whose name means "lion dog."

When comparing Shih Tzu breeders, ask how young animals are raised, which health checks are performed on the parents, and what veterinary, vaccination, registration, and return-policy documentation comes with each animal. A responsible breeder should welcome questions, explain their breeding goals clearly, and allow you to meet the animal and its parent where practical.

Questions to ask a Shih Tzu breeder

• Which breed-appropriate health screenings have the parents completed?
• Can I see veterinary records and meet the parents in person or by live video?
• How are young animals of this breed socialized before going to new homes?
• What support and return policy do you provide after placement?
