Shiba Inu breeders in New York

Finding a responsible Shiba Inu breeder in New York

A small, fox-like Japanese hunting breed, one of the oldest and most popular native Japanese dog breeds.

When comparing Shiba Inu breeders, ask how young animals are raised, which health checks are performed on the parents, and what veterinary, vaccination, registration, and return-policy documentation comes with each animal. A responsible breeder should welcome questions, explain their breeding goals clearly, and allow you to meet the animal and its parent where practical.

Questions to ask a Shiba Inu breeder

• Which breed-appropriate health screenings have the parents completed?
• Can I see veterinary records and meet the parents in person or by live video?
• How are young animals of this breed socialized before going to new homes?
• What support and return policy do you provide after placement?
